Geri Amori is a nationally known speaker, facilitator and consultant on risk management 

Dr. Amori is Past President of the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management, as well as Past President of the Northern New England 
Society for Healthcare Risk Management

Dr. Amori served as Risk Manager at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington, Vermont for 12 years where she developed expertise in office practice risk management as well as workers’ compensation and captive operations. In the 1980’s, she was Psychopharmacology Clinic and Research Coordinator with the University Associates in Psychiatry. Prior to that, she worked in mental health.

In 1990, she landed a role in Vermont’s Lyric Theatre’s “Anything Goes.” Since then she has pursued the study of acting and the use of theatre as a medium for education in building effective communication skills. Dr. Amori blends the use of role-plays, interactive dialogue, and group involvement to teach effective communication.

 

Geri is a recipient of the coveted ASHRM's 

distinguished service award in 2004. She also 

received the journal author of the year award 

in 2007 and 2008.


She is a lifetime member of the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management.
